3. User Responsibilities and Content Liability

By using our service, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
• Maintain the security of your account credentials

• Respect the privacy and rights of your wedding guests
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Take full responsibility for all content in your wedding invitations, including but not limited to text, images, and personal messages
• Ensure all invitation recipients have consented to receive emails from you
• Verify the accuracy of all guest contact information before sending invitations

4. Email Services and Communication

When using our email invitation services:

• We provide email delivery technology only - we do not create, modify, or endorse your invitation content
• You must comply with all applicable anti-spam laws (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc.)
• You may only send invitations to individuals who have a legitimate expectation to receive wedding communications from you
• We reserve the right to suspend accounts that generate spam complaints or violate email best practices
• Email delivery is not guaranteed - factors beyond our control may affect delivery
• We may use third-party email service providers (such as Resend) to deliver your emails

5. Prohibited Activities

You must not use our service to:

• Send spam, unsolicited commercial communications, or bulk emails unrelated to wedding invitations
• Upload harmful, offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content
• Include false, misleading, or fraudulent information in invitations
• Violate any third party's intellectual property rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Use automated tools to extract data from our platform
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity or relationship to the wedding
• Send invitations for events that are not legitimate wedding-related celebrations

6. Intellectual Property

All DearTable platform features, software, and template designs are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. However:

• You retain ownership of your wedding content, guest data, and custom messages
• You grant us a limited license to process and transmit your content solely to provide our services
• You may use our templates for your wedding invitations but may not redistribute or resell them
• Any modifications you make to templates remain subject to our platform terms

7. Data Protection and Privacy

We take data protection seriously:

• Your guest data is processed according to our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws
• You are responsible for obtaining necessary consent from guests before adding their personal information
• We implement security measures but cannot guarantee absolute data security
• You may export or delete your data at any time subject to our data retention policies
• We may retain anonymized analytics data to improve our services

8. Paid Services and Billing

For premium features and paid subscriptions:

• All fees are charged in USD and are generally non-refundable except as required by law
• Subscription fees are billed in advance (monthly or yearly)
• We may change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers
• You can cancel your subscription at any time - cancellation takes effect at the end of your billing period

• We disclaim all liability for any damages, losses, or consequences arising from your use of our service
• We are not liable for invitation content errors, wedding information mistakes, or guest communication issues
• We are not responsible for email delivery failures, spam filtering, or recipient email problems
• We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of AI features or seating suggestions
• We specifically disclaim all liability for any legal issues arising from your invitation content or guest communications
• Under no circumstances shall DearTable be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• This includes but is not limited to: loss of profits, data loss, business interruption, or any other commercial damages
• You use our service entirely at your own risk and responsibility

11. Account Termination

Account termination may occur if:

• You violate these terms of service
• Your account generates excessive spam complaints
• You engage in fraudulent or harmful behavior
• You fail to pay subscription fees
• You request account deletion

Upon termination, your data will be deleted according to our retention policy, and you will lose access to all platform features.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes will first be addressed through good faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of UK courts. For users outside the UK, local consumer protection laws may apply.
